Wednesday's Ruck & Maul

Although the only senior game last weekend was against Comox for Div 1, there was action aplenty on Sunday at the House for Age Grade boys and girls when James Bay came crosstown. The U14 girls took to the pitch against very strong opposition and succumbed in a tough showing. The U 16 girls also battled, fighting a flu bug and again, strong opposition. The girls battled hard, showing improvement. Game #2 to the Bays. The scheduled U18 game did not eventuate.

In boy’s action, the scorelines were reversed. The U14 boys, won 29 – 15 in an exciting match with the Bays providing plenty of opposition against a team which is improving week by week. In the U16 game, CW came out on top, 41 –17.  Finally, the U18 match was one-sided with the home team showing clean heels.  Next action will be Sunday, 16th with all three teams at ‘home’ again.

ELSEWHERE
– Shout out to the NSMT Canadian Classics who won their last match against the US Classic Eagles, 37 -15.  “Old Boy”, Derek Daypuck skippered a side which included current “youngster”, Johnny Humphries.  Argentina defeated South Africa in a close final.
