Wednesday's Ruck & Maul

MEN COMPLETE THEIR RUN

Two weekends back CW men travelled to VRC's Brockton Park to take on the Meralomas RFC. We apologize for this very belated summary of the match.  CW started promisingly, posting first points with a try in the corner from a Bowd diagonal.  But that was all she wrote as the interval board showed Meralomas 28, CW 5.  The second half saw a CW resurgence, with the Tricolors outscoring the hosts 12 - 7. CW offers 'good luck' to the victors as they move to the semis. Meanwhile, on the Island, Westshore showed Capilanos clean heels with a 23 - 0 second half. It's a 'good luck' to the Shore as they represent the Island against UBCOB Ravens this weekend.

Whilst on this weekend, there will be CW rugby on Saturday. Our Premier Women travel to the Westshore for semi-final action. This promises to be first class action. Let's have a raucous crowd present to boost the ladies. We will bring you any news we can so far as the selection is concerned, later in the week.

Other News.  Our U16 Girls made the journey to Florida and snippets that have filtered back have been nothing but positive.  Congratulations to the tourists.  We will have reports and pictures.

Minis wind up on Sunday. The weather looks promising for Closing Day at The House.  Fun starts at 10:30.  Check it out.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR.  WE HAVE BOOKED THE WINDSOR PARK FIELD & PAVILION FOR SATURDAY 24th TO REMEMBER AND CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF BRENT JOHNSTON. THIS IS EARLY NEWS FOR THOSE WHO WILL BE COMING FROM AFAR.  DETAILS WILL BE FORTHCOMING. SO SAD, BUT SO MUCH TO REMEMBER AND CELEBRATE.
