GENEROSITY IN A TROUBLED ECONOMY

Today, it is with pleasure and gratitude that CW announces a new Platinum sponsor, Straith’s Fine Clothing.  The late Kane Straith was an Oak Bay Wanderer, UBC, VIRU Crimson Tide, and Canadian Legends player.  He was a strong supporter of CWRFC.  Kane’s son, Luke, played rugby for CW for five years, earning several Premier starts.  The family has decided to maintain a unique and elite Victoria business, founded in 1917, Straith’s Clothing, following Kane’s passing, and Kane’s other sons, Manny and Adam continue the family tradition.

In a recent conversation with our club, all three lads concurred that the time was right for a more substantial level of support in memory of their dad.  As a result, an image of Kane will feature on the team jersey.  We are extremely grateful to the Straith family, Delphine and the lads, and we encourage you to support their business whenever you are able.
