Wednesday's Ruck & Maul

The Thrill of Victory - Euphoric, CW's U18 BC Champs!

The brotherhood that is rugby.  U16 foes show respect.  This photo depicts the respect that the game of rugby teaches.  Abbotsford and CW lads battled to a hard-fought victory for the visitors in last Sunday’s BC Championship.

SEASON'S GREETINGS

Two decades of dining with Guido.  Guido always reminds us at this time of year to be thankful and in kind, he throws an opportunity for seasonal fellowship at The Temple. 'onya, Guido.  Upcoming, Friday.  I believe "our House is full"!

Giving back.  One of Sunday’s officials was CW’s Chloe Hill-Huse.  Chloe is a very competent UVic Viking.  She has also represented her Province in Age Grade play.  Chloe knows the dark arts of the Front Row Fraternity, as she often suits up as hooker.  A few seasons back, Chloe took to the whistle.  Once again, she has shown her competency, giving back to the game she loves. Chloe was one of the AR’s in last Sunday’s Finals.  ‘onya, Chloe!

.......and a few words from Spice.  A few of us have been working on an initiative which has the hallmarks of a transformational step for our club. There is a property for sale on Currie Road, across from the Windsor Park tennis courts. A lot of work has gone into pursuing this property as a site for a future CWRFC clubhouse. Some questions have been answered - more questions continue to be asked. This is a BIG opportunity for CWRFC, and we continue to push ahead with hope, determination, and eyes on the prize.  Now that would be a Christmas present of mammoth proportions!
