VALENTINES

VALENTINES

As we ponder love on this day, our thoughts go out to the families of two of our club's finest gentlemen.  The late Tom Browne, former Principal of Parklands Secondary, head coach of our men's Threepeat BC Premier Champions and mini rugby guide for many years and the recently deceased, Brent Johnson, a rugby man for all seasons.  As we send our love to Tumbler Ridge, these families, and our own dear ones, rugby is more than a game.  It is family.

INTERNATIONAL RUGBY TODAY
- WINDSOR PARK

LATE-BREAKING

It has been brought to the writer's attention that late confirmation has been made for matches this afternoon between our own Castaway Wanderers boys U16 & U18 teams and the visiting Acalenes High School from California.  Kickoffs will be 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. We welcome our visitors. I would suggest the action could be fast and furious as both clubs will testing their strength with an International flavour!  CW Boys U18 are current BC Champs so there will ba an added incentive for the visitors. The day loooks fine, so a visit to the House would be good value.

There is another game to be held at Westhills where the home team Pacific Pride, will play visitors, the Atlantic Privateers.  The visitors will feature CW's Merlin M'Cloud, and Ravens Joe Locke who we saw in action at Windsor recently. The remainder of the Privateers are an Atlantic Rep combination of young guns who have sparked a real interest on the east coast. Kickoff will be at 4:30 p.m.
