Tenuous Start To Tokyo

Posted in Canada Rugby / News

Canada found the going tough in their opener at the Tokyo Sevens.  Everyone wants a part of the "top ten" and hosts, Japan, containing names such as Loti Toquiri and one or two other of non-Japanese lineage, showed no respect in their 14 - 10 win over Canada in the tourney's opener.  Japan scored arguably the try of the day, after a Canadian error which could well have iced it for the Visitors. (Check out the video).

In game #2  the Canucks came back with a character W over Les Bleus, winning 22 - 19.  Unfortunately, although they played the Kiwis tough, losing 12 - 22, they now find themselves playing Kenya in the Bowl Quarter Final tomorrow.  Good luck, guys!
