Ones/Thurds Hit the Road
Larsen's Back!
The Ones and Thurds travel to Piggieville tomorrow to play Cowichan in a T.C. Div. 'make-up' and 3RD Div. game. This competition is already finished with the Norsemen as winners, so this match will be somewhat of an "exhibition". It is never a 'friendly' on the field at Cowichan but a grand old team off the pitch from whence we all have very fond memories of tales and songs much after the final whistle. Continue the tradition, have a designated driver and have a good game. CW's squad is finally gaining a measure of consistent selection, with the likes of Bratten, McLean, Kelliher, Conway, Faasavalu and Lamb in the forwards and Moore, Pritchard, Mitchell, Thomas and Kelly in the backs. The Wanderin' Welshie will be on the bench and heard there is the possibility of Razor Barkwill taking a trot after a LONG layoff, so it should be fun. It is a real "dust off the boots" for the T(h)urds..... Happy Valentines Day, all!!
MINIS - CW STYLE host the first of the 2015 season's VIRU Jamborees on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. @ The Park. Drop by and view the Prems of the future. Just a reminder to parents of Minis that this program is financially supported by the club and our annual dinner/fundraiser is upcoming, so far devoid of noted support from minis.....chat it up on the sidelines and try to muster a table. Finally, it is great to note that day#1 at Vegas, where several CW Youth performed, was very successful for B.C. teams. The U18 Girls went 3 - 0; The U18 Girls H.S. Div., went 1 - 2; The U17 Boys went 3 - 0. All the best for today's competition. The BIGS start tomorrow when Canada Men take on Argentina, Kenya and England in a very tough pool. Go, you good things!
