Off To Oz

Despite the unavailability of players such as; Mack, Trainor, Ardron, Duke, Hassler, O'Toole, De Goede, Kleeberger and Scholt, Geraint John has selected a solid squad for the trek to Oz.

Nate Hirayama from the Vikes will skipper the side which will include vets, Moonlight, Dala, Hearn and Jones.  There is a good mix of speed with Justin Douglas, Lucas Hammond, Sean Ferguson, Pat Kay and Mike Fuailefau.  It is good to see Connor Braid back with the Sevens program and given his all round physicality and measure of pace, Sevens could well be his place to shine for now.  Kay is extremely deserving of his selection and it will be interesting to see Pat Parfrey's contribution, a selection after plenty of knocks at the door.  Jamie MacKenzie awaits in the wings if needed.

In all. The Ruggernut sees this as an exciting selection and a real opportunity to add depth to the program.  CW wishes the boys well as they sport the Maple Leaf in Oz.
