It Takes Two to Tango!

We offered rejoicing for our Boys U18 BC Champs last blog.  Today we would like to honor all the BC Age Grade Finalists.  It is interesting to note James Bay Girls, and Abbotsford Girls playing in both the U16 and U18 Finals and CW Boys playing in the U16 and U18 Finals.  I would opine that this brace is quite a feat for these respective clubs and an indication of good work being done to grow the game.  This is not to omit all the clubs that had junior teams playing in the Fall season – well done. Special congratulations to the winning teams, Abbotsford with a double-header, Capilanos and CW.

To our U16 lads, playing in their third consecutive BC Final, unfortunately, they came up as runners-up once again, dropping a 33 – 10 decision to an impressive and sizeable Capilanos team.  A Ruggernut shoutout to the coaches for such a standard of excellence, the parents for your support, and the players.  Not sure of numbers but as mentioned in the last blog, it takes a village to raise a team.

FOOTNOTE on U18 Boys.  Third year consecutive appearance in BC Final, all against UBCOB Ravens.  Both clubs had one title each and this year it was CW’s turn with a 31 – 15 win.
