Monday's Musings

February 10, 2025
To the CWRFC Family,

Circumstances have brought us to the decision to postpone the CWRFC Annual Fun/Fundraiser Dinner scheduled for March 8, 2025. Ticket sales have been slow this year and at the same time, the leader of this annually successful event is working overtime to regain his health. This, added to the uncertainties in the world right now and, no doubt, other factors, have caused us to put a hold on our dinner for this season. If you have purchased tickets to the dinner, we will be in touch with you soon.

We will look hard at the event - timing, intent, structure, delivery and all aspects of our dinner as we have this opportunity to reflect on well over ten years of wonderful dinners. We recognize the importance of this annual event to maintain and create friendships, to support the Club financially and to showcase many aspects of our Club. We look forward to setting up this vital event to take place at some point in the 2025 - 2026 playing season, and to seeing you there. Look for further information on this in some months time.

No rugby, no Dinner!

Action returns this Saturday at Windsor Park. Hopefully, this past weekend you managed to catch some of the exciting action in the England vs France International.

Ghosts of the Past

The recent passing of Maurice Preece has activated some wonderful Facebook postings of events from those times when Maurice was an active player and coach. Today we post a Wanderers team photo from the 1965-66 season, thus promoting a Name-that-Player contest!  Have a good week, all.
