NEW COMPETITION STRUCTURE MEANS EVERY GAME MATTERS FOR THE SENIOR MEN, STARTING THIS SATURDAY AT WESTSHORE
 
For the Senior Men, A total of 4 teams from Vancouver Island will compete in a nine game (12 week) qualification round, beginning September 19th. Following this round, the top three teams will advance to the Canadian Direct Insurance Premier League, to be held from January 2016 - April 2016, while the top two will contest the Barnard Cup on December 5.
 
The competing teams from Vancouver Island are:

·         Castaway Wanderers
·         James Bay AA
·         UVic Vikes
·         Westshore Velox RFC 
                

Relegation
 
Following the Fall Island Premier qualification round, the 4th ranked team will join the Vancouver Island Division 1 Spring 2016 competition.

Following the Lower Mainland Premier qualification round, the 7th ranked team will immediately join the Okanagan Spring Brewery League.
Teams are not permanently relegated. Upon conclusion of the 2015-2016 season, all CDI Premier League / Okanagan Spring Brewery League teams will once again be eligible to participate in the Premier qualification round slated for September 2016.
 
Fans Encouraged to COME OUT AND SUPPORT!!!!
 
Fans are encouraged to travel to Westshore RFC, beginning at 11:30 to watch our exciting new Women’s team take on Westshore Valkyries (current BC champions). The CW women are fresh from an outstanding debut, defeating Nanaimo Hornets 100-10 in Nanaimo. The Men Kick-off at 1pm and 2:30 as usual at Westshore RFC (down the road from 6-mile Pub in Colwood, behind Westshore Parks and Recreation). Coaches Hyde-Lay and Robinson are treating the potential competition from Westshore very seriously, Hyde-Lay says he is “encouraged by the large numbers at training and the talent the club has attracted over the summer as well as the returning stalwarts such as Braddock, Ilnicki and Horton”.
