CW Crosstown Vs UVic., etc.

Late-breaking because we have been holding out for lineups but it seems, "no-can-do", as an early season void has forced late selections. We can tell you that the 1:00 p.m. match CW Ones Vs Norse has been rescheduled.  So it's just the "main game" Vikes hosting The Tricolors @ 2:45 @ Wallace Field.

As for predictions, well for my money, having heard that a spirited Vikes pack repelled JBAA last week on a number of occasions and given the Vikes talented backs, despite the trade for JMAC, "TAG" Horton and "Burger" Thornber, the "guessed absences" due to both CRC commitments and injuries (so soon?), I think the above picture might well depict the day!  Hopefully, those who take in the prognosticated, sunny afternoon will enjoy the contest and The Tricolors as underdogs, will battle well.

Other rugby news includes our old mate, Derek Daypucker booting 19 points to bury B.C. Bears last night in Ontario.  The final score was 29 - 11 to The Blues who now take on the Prairie Wolf Pack on Sunday for the Championship.  Congratulations to both teams on your achievements and we can be sure that many on the pitch will be on display at Langford in the upcoming ARC's. We keep reading about stellar performances from Clay Panga who wore the Tricolors last winter.  A tip of the Ruggernut's cap to Whitesliver who evidently was the pick of a rather mundane bunch of B.C-ites last night and has had a solid campaign.  The other STAR who has shown his colors proudly in the CRC's is McRorie, the #10 with the front running for RWC next year.
