BC BEARS ANNOUNCE COACHING STAFF

A strong triad of coach-management has been named for the upcoming summer season of CRC's.  Head Coach is Burnaby's, Jim Dixon, a man of eclectic rugby background and experience, who along with Kris De Scossa has been the mastermind of Burnaby's resurgence over the past three seasons.  He will be assisted by CW's, Ken Goodland.  Ken has slowly earned his stripes at the U18 level and will no doubt, use his reputation to recruit players.  The team will be managed by Hans De Goede.  Hans' passion for local, provincial and Canadian rugby, knows no bounds.  So, an excellent platform is in place.

No matter what the structure, it still needs the ponies!  Herein lies the rub.  Since  inception of the CRC's, for whatever reason, BC has failed to impress.  The players seemed to have treated it in a lesser light than the winter CDI Championship, unlike the other regional organisations.  If requests for club transfers at CW for summer play are any indication, other teams will be strong once again.  R.C. has stated that the CRC's are a pathway to identification and selection to the National program.  The carrot is there.  It will be interesting to see what results can be achieved by arguably, the strongest Province in Canadain rugby, this go around.
