AGE GRADE SEASON WINDUP

CW Youth recently wound up their season with the Annual Awards Dinner. Some 170 players, coaches and parents gathered at UVic to celebrate the season. Awards were presented by coaches for the following range of categories for the girls and boys, age U14 to U18.
MVP, Best Offensive & Defensive Player, Most Improved, Spirit Award, Grit Award, Most Adaptable, Consistency Award, Impact Award, Best Attacker, Best Defender, Warrior of the Season, Heart Award, Best Forward, and Best Back. CW’s BIG THANKS to coaches and supportive parents.
The highlight was the two major awards – the David Crossley Cup is for the most selfless Junior Girls player. The player who puts team, program and club ahead of themselves both on and off the field. It is a single player for the entire Girls program, decided by the consensus of the coaching staff of the three teams. This year’s winner was Maya Skirron.

The Macca Award is for the Boys program to a Castaway Wanderer who strives to give back to the club off the field and exemplifies club spirit. This year’s recipient was Justin Chappel.
