FAREWELL, BRENT JOHNSTON

“Gonna take you up to the spirit in the sky!”
Our website has been devoid of general rugby and club posts these past two weeks. CWRFC has been in a period of mourning since the passing of our friend, ’Fixer’ Brent Johnston. This concluded last Saturday when an estimated 400 of Johno’s friends gathered to share memories, tales, and heard speakers regale his many attributes at a Celebration of Life, at the House of Windsor.
CW offers out thanks to all those who were present and those who sent their condolences in lieu of being able to attend. Most folks in attendance honored the dress code for the day with white shirt and rugby tie. In fact, it was so well honored that an elderly gentleman walking by asked if it was a Mormon Convention that was going on! The memories that were recorded by the attendees, to be compiled into a book for the family, were many, and very touching. It was a raw day for all of us, but the rugby Gods brought the sun, and how great was it to celebrate Brent.
May you rest in peace, Johno. Go, CW!
“Every day is a rugby day!"
