GROWING THE GAME

A shout out today to the following Island clubs- Cowichan Piggies; Comox Rapids RFC; Velox RFC; JBAA and CW RFC.  These clubs have taken on the role of providing opportunities for girls and boys to be introduced to, and play, the game of rugby.  In times when  it is very rare that Elementary Schools and in many instances, Middle Schools, provide limited opportunities for kids to play competitive sports, community clubs have taken over the role. Hats off to the many coaches - current and past players, and simply, interested parents with a love for the game who provide these opportunities for the kids.  Clubs sponsor Jamborees to ensure safe and responsible play, and attitudes, on a regular basis.  Keep it up.  Good 'onyas!
