Wednesday's Ruck & Maul
Owing to the inclement weather of recent weeks, CW finds itself in a very rare, midweek encounter. In order to enable Westshore to complete their season schedule, the chaps will front up for two matches tomorrow night. The Reserves play at 6:15 and the Prems will kick off at 7:45 at Jaun de Fuca. It is a tough turnaround - four days, continued absences due to sevens (Owens, Schelly and Morra); absences from weekend injuries but there should be no whinging. It is not about who is missing. The Premier side should not disappoint as there is a very competent crew on the park and the Divvies will give lots of Islanders an opportunity for a run.
In Premier play the two games this season could have really gone "either way" and it will take every resource and a rub of the green for the visitors to go 3 - 0. This pundit cannot recall a Saman Rezapour as a prop, although the rest of Westshore's starters are familiar names. With the likes of carded players, Gallagher and Webster on the bench, the lineup is deep. CW will need to be special in the threeline and the presence of Jonny Morris should assist the cause. Whomever can make it, most likiely will not be disappointed with what should be another lively match.
