2014 PROVINCIAL REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

UNDER 15

VANCOUVER ISLAND RUGBY UNION – SOUTH ISLAND TIDE U15 BOYS

We invite and encourage all boys born in 2000 and 1999 to try out for this year’s U15 South Island representative team.

TRIALS                  Glanford Middle School                                                               

We are holding two trial sessions. It is important that candidates attend both because each has its own specific areas for assessment. Each candidate will need runners, rugby boots, mouth guard and two water bottles for each session. Assessments start at 6:00 pm sharp each day.

Day One – Sunday May 25

Day Two – Tuesday May 27

• Registration completion5:30 pm – 6:00 pm
• Assessments                                     6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

PLAYER SELECTION

We are selecting 25 players to the team based on overall trial performance. We may also invite up to 5 additional players to continue with the team through its four-week preparation period. We may promote a ‘shadow’ player if a selected player cannot continue with the team.

We will advise each candidate of our selection decision by Friday May 30.

PRACTICES          Glanford Middle School

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday and Thursday evenings commencing June 3 and concluding June 26.

NO practice Tuesday June 10 – it is rescheduled to Monday June 9.

Practices start at 6:00 pm sharp. Players will need runners, rugby boots, mouth guard and two water bottles for every practice.

U15 Provincial Regional Championships                  University of British Columbia

PRCs take place Saturday June 28 & Sunday June 29; we will likely leave Victoria Friday June 27. We will finalize PRCs details shortly.

Each candidate will need runners, rugby boots, mouth guard and two water bottles for each session. Sessions will start at the time indicated, be early to prepare for an on-time start.
