Squads Announced

Most unfortunately, we will not see all of our grads in action on Saturday at Windsor. The biggest disappointment will be in the FRF where Thornber is injured and Bos is being kept out for the upcoming U20 RWC. Further, UVic is reported to be sporting a number of injuries. Last time these two clubs met, UVic posted a mammoth 128 points for to just 12 against in the two matches! Regardless of availability, there is obviously plenty of talent amongst the student body.

The Norsemen will sport Morgan Tate at 10, Evan Cambridge in the centers and Rhys Prevost on the wing, other Norsemen of note are Keliher, a young backrower, thought highly of by the coaching staff and hooker, Cavers. The Home team will field Heppy and Middleton in the FRF, men who have been rocks during a spate of ups and downs, Chippsy will lead from the lock position. The back row will feature Clay Panga, a very good player who has recently come back to town and thrown his hat in with The Tricolor. The 9-10 link will be the young Frenchman, Justin Conway and stalwart, Sipili Molia and Rocher and Henderson will be a strong link in the centers. It is very fair to say, that the 80 – 0 score line that took place the last time these teams met, will definitely NOT be the case again!

In the Main Game, the Vikes will field some useful forwards in Wakefield, a big unit out of Oak Bay H.S., Oli Nott, Nishima-Miller and Hadyns, a young, but active back row. It is the UVic backs that are their strength, an unknown 9/10 combination but Anctil, a big unit in the centers, Wyatt and Pat Kay at 15 are all very good players. The Home team will field a rock solid FRF and it is here the game could well hinge. Tiedeman moves to the lock position for this one and a smoking hot Kleeberger, will lead the back row. The backline remains the same as last week, with Fuli (another UVic `trade`) in the centers, looking to impress the R.C. bosses and it`s "haere ra" to Northcott at #15. 12 – 48 last November, we think it will be a lot different tomorrow!
