Saturday, Saturday Night's Allright

We bring to our reader's attention the above story of a young man who suffered a catastrophic rugby injury.  Judah has shown his tremendous tenacity by coming a long way with his road to recovery.  His injury was such that his rugby insurance did not cover him for partial paralysis.  Despite that, Judah cannot use his hands, walk or move his body unassisted in a coordinated manner.  He did not have work disability insurance and cannot receive Employment insurance as he was self-employed.  A very touching story.

The rugby community has rallied in its efforts to raise $100,000 to assist with care, rehabilitation and medical costs.  This Saturday, after your CW fix, we encourage you to go out to Westhills at 5:30 to watch Canada Mens U20's take on the much improved UBCOB Ravens Premier team, followed at 7:00 by the "ULTRA SEVENS" match. All funds will go towards the Judah Campbell Charity.  We remind you that alcohol is available for purchase but the West Shore RCMP detail seems to be making a habit of roadside checks, so imbibe responsibly....BETTER YET, save it and join the post game libations at The Temple, 917 Discovery St., where again, any sales profits will be donated to the fund.

(FYI, as yet CW has not made a specific donation but the intent is to do so.)
