Plunge Into Playoffs

The Playoff Picture for the season is now complete and CW has both senior men's teams involved. The Firsts will take to the field at Windsor this coming Sunday, (23rd) at 1:00 p.m. against the visiting UBCOB Ravens, a team they tied just two week's back.  The memories of this game must lie sour in the minds of the participants as the team squandered a  26 - 12 lead and a much more clinical effort will be required to ensure there are no lapses this Sunday.  A similar performance would mean "toast" - you're out! The Ravens club, one of five clubs to have both teams in the playoffs, will have fielded a Premier semi-finalist vs Seattle (A) on Saturday. The travel factor perhaps having some effect in the possible outcome.  Regardless, our boys have made the dance and will be keen to put some inconsistent recent performances to bed.  We will bring the starters to readers later in the week.  Our Premier Men have a week's rest and will face the winner of UBC and JBAA at Windsor on Saturday, 29th.  If the energy that was on show at the Players Awards can be transferred to preparation, we should be in shape to pinch this opener on Sunday.
