Monday's Musings

Easter Saturday saw an amalgum of 37 local juniors - 18 X CW; 15 X VV; 2 X CWRFC and 2 unattached, boys and girls, take on an English side from Rokeby School at Windsor Park.  Our boots on the field reported that it was a tough day for the Island kids against an experienced and cohesive opposition.  The locals matched this with their athleticism and heart.  The breakdown was the area of decided advantage, with the Brits winning much ball with a very aggresive and cohesive approach. " It was a great learning experience for our kids."  Huge thanks to Anne Jones (Main Mini Mum) for her excellent organisation with hosting, giving everyone an excellent experience with "international rugby".  Ed. note - great to see the blend of local clubs playng this fixture.

The U14's and U12's take to the pitch again this coming Saturday when Seattle Youth visit Windsor.  This fixture has resulted from a very successful exhibition contest between the two clubs at the senior men's level.  We need to confirm kickoffs for these games.  The teams will again be a mix of VV and CW players.  At the U14 level it will be solely CW Vs Saracens and again, hosting has been organised to give our visitors a true tatse of CW rugby.  Well done to ALL who are involved with this venture.
