Keep 'em coming....a street of trees!

OUR MAN AT "GEEPS".  'Old Boy', Seamus Gay informs us that the GPS Club appointment was made far in advance to that of Rugby Canada's, for new Head Coach, Steve Meehan.  Steve was coaching the Premier team when Shay was playing Colts for GPS.  Meehan is thought of very highly at GPS, and Seamus was very high on Meehan's words on making a difference.

As one would expect, Meehan has an extensive and impressive resume, including Stade Francais with Nick Mallett and Fabien Galthie, Head Coach with Bath, Attack Coach with the Western Force and thence to the Reds in the same role. He coached Queensland Country to win the initial Australian National Championship. Finally, he moved back to France to work as an Assistant with Toulon and on to Japan in the 2017-18 season.  Certainly, a checkered coaching career!  Meehan needs to "mend fences" and become aware of what is "out there".  Even by viewing a couple of BC Premier matches, he will be steps above his predecessor. So, the jury will remain out that change will be for the better.
