Home Cooking Should Do The Trick
Coach Crowley has gone with the same starting selection for Saturday's "return" match against The Eagles at Toronto's BMO Field, with the exception of injured players, Hamilton and Cudmore. Ray Barkwill gets his chance to start and won't dissapoint but will need to harness his "chirpiness" to be his best. Tyler Hotson will start in the lock position beside Jebbediah, with Flagg and Phelan on the pines to fill if needed. Some pundits have pushed for the case of White at #9, a ludicrous proposition given Phil Mack's performance last week. For this viewer, the Mack-Jones link was "money" and I look forward to more of the same, good decisions, gutsy defence and at the end of the day, a little more quality ball to the fliers on the flanks. The set scrum must have been an area of some concern after last Saturday and I am sure it received the necessary amount of attention during the week. Lineout possession has been a source of quality ball in recent contests, so the breakdown is the other area for possession and last week, Canada had the edge. One can be sure that the "W" is the focus and any lackadaisical approach because of last week's result will not be part of the showcase. We wish Canada all the best, in what should be a match where the Americans will turn up the gas. So it is a 1:00 p.m. k.o. PST and shown live on TSN 2. Join your mates at The Temple and let's beat last week's turnout of 25.
