Day One @ Mandela...So Far
Well, we knew it would be no easy task. The Blitzbokke came out firing and Cecil Afrika, flying, they kept possession from Canada who found themselves 17 points awry at the half. Our boys played it tough in the second half with Mack crossing to get it to 7 - 17, leaving the second half "tied" at 7 - 7.
Next up Kenya, who have a number of flyers however, Canada came very close in this one. Kenya opened, Harry Jones evened the score and Justin Douglas opened the second half scoring but that was all she wrote with the Kenyans crossing for two late tallies - a gutting defeat.
Canada has a character squad and we expect them to salvage their day, coming up very shortly (about thirty minutes time), against Spain. You can view this game live; here. Go, boys!
HIGHLIGHTS, so far: Portugal continues on their winning ways; Fiji remains undefeated, as does NZ, looking to re-establish their Championship form; Argentina, having a good day #1, U.S. Carlin Isles wooing the crowds with his Olympic speed; stay on line after Canada game, 'cause Kenya Vs SRA will be a cracker!
