CW congratulates Canada’s NSWT on their 3 – 0. Opening Day performance at the IRB Sevens. Early, one-sided wins over Russia and RSA were immediately forgotten when the U.S. laid down the wood to go ahead 15 – 12 with mere minutes remaining. It was up to Landry to save the day with her fifth try of the day, for a 19 – 15 win. Landry ended up with 43 points on the day. Landry was joined by a host of teammates raising their hand on the day, none so more than Captain, Ashley Steacy. Hon Mention to Paquin, Moleschi and Darling. The wood will be laid on again in Day #2 by England, an old nemesis in ladies Sevens play.
