CW U18s fall to Capilanos in Provincial Semi-final
A hard fought semi-final match between two perennial powerhouses in junior rugby today.
Capilanos came, saw and conquered all before them in a contest that was not for the feint of heart. Both teams were able to produce compelling offensive sequences finishing with a number of tries for both sides: CW through forward dominance and Capilano through strong running in their backs. Quick work at the beginning of the game had CW up by a score of 10-3. CW's scrummaging and commitment to the ball in the tackle area were their major strengths; ultimately resulting in a team yellow card to Caps after several infringements at the breakdown area. Unfortunately, CW was not able to capitalize and the Caps maintained an edge on the score after coming back from behind. Final score 34-21 for Capilano.
A big thank you to all the parents and supporters who came out to the game. Was great to see so many senior team players and board members at the game. Much appreciated.
CW U18s will have their final game of the season next Sunday @ Capilano RFC as they compete for 3rd place in the Province.
