BC Bears open their CRC campaign tomorrow at UBC (7:00p.m.) It will be like a home coming event for CW as Buckley, Thornber and Morris let's add CW Mini and Jr grad, now with UVic, Luke Mc Closkey who will line up for the Bears with Franklin, Sampson and Gilmour on the other side with the Wolfpack. The Prairies have mustered a very good squad, as it seems that players have become very aware of this competition being the showcase to higher honors. New BCRU CEO, Jim Dixon is at the helm for the Bears, assisted by CW's Ken Goodland and word from camp is that this man is doing a good job. BC appears to be considerably stronger than in past seasons in this competition, since winning the inaugural one yonks ago. It will be a fascinating outcome. Have to say, Go Bears, go but will be keeping my hand in pocket when I pass the bookies!
