A Weekend Without Rugby?? Not So!
On Sunday, our U19 Boys will play the VIRU Final at Mc Donald Park against arch rival, James Bay. The teams have met twice with a win each, strangely enough, at each other's home field. There was nothing in either game, so this decider should be a cracker. The James Bay program of boys age grade rugby, like the veritable Phoenix, has picked up in leaps and bounds over the past two seasons. Led by ex-International, Jarard Barker, there is a solid support crew for the program. On the other hand, CW has had almost a monopoly on this title, on and off for the past 6/7 seasons, with the challenge predominantly coming from Cowichan. Roger, Spencer and Pitsy will have the lads well prepared. The Ruggernut urges support from all senior men and any ladies available to fie thee down to The Mac. KICKOFF - 2:30 p.m., McDonald Park. Meanwhile, we wish our junior women, U16's and U19's all the best as they face Abbie in Provincial Championships at UBC. Go, The Tricolour!
