Gold Coast Sevens Open Season

CW congratulates Ciatan Hearn, Mike Fuailefau and Lucas Hammond in particular and all of the team - Jones, Douglas, Duke, Mullins, Smith, Wislon-Ross, Trainor and Zaruba who have been selected to represent Canada, under the captaincy of John Moonlight in The Land of Oz at the season's opening event.

There are a number of new names due to injuries still to Mack, Hiarayama, Dala, Scholtz and White. Others will have great expectations placed upon them....leaders such as Hearn, Jones, Duke and Trainor and boys who are now experienced on the cicuit, Fuli, Douglas, Hammond.  We will be watching with interest the play of Wilson-Ross and Zaruba - a big, fast unit from Caps, who has given CW fits for the past three seasons.  This pundit's call is that both will do well.  As for the other "newbies" we can't cast opinions but we wish them well.
