Gareth completed his schooling in Victoria – Willows, SMUS, and UVic. His achievements are many and legendary. He is the only man to have started in all of Canada's games in four RWC’s – 1987 (at the age of eighteen), 1991, 1995, and 1999. He never missed a shot at goal, kicking 19/19 attempts in 1999 RWC! He still ranks in the top ten all time point’s scorers in RWC, to mention a few of his on field heroics. For his rugby career and contributions, he has been rewarded with induction to IRB Hall of Fame; B.C. Athlete of the Year; British Sports Writers – Outstanding Player of 1999 season (when he was playing with Wasps); inducted into Victoria Sports Hall of Fame and B.C. Sports hall of Fame and so it goes. Gareth is a very unassuming man, although his personality is larger than life and is deserving of these honours. CW is proud to call him a true Tricolor despite the fact that he probably only played juniors and the odd appearance at grade level.  Hope to see a packed house. ‘onya, Garth!
