Burnaby Miss Trifector

CW congratulates all winning teams from yesterday's Finals.  We have some measure of empathy for Burnaby Prems, losing a tight one to James Bay.  Burnaby has been in the Final for the past three years, only to be turned away, yet again.  It would have been their club's third big wn for the day, probably the most important for The Lakers but once again, James Bay "found a way", booting the winning penalty on the last play of the game.  We congratulate James Bay on their achievement, their 24th Rounsefell Cup.

We offer special congrats to UBC Thunderbirds, dual winners over Seattle, the Div One game being a particularly, close encounter.  The Birds will return to the BIGS after a prolonged absence and it is great for the League and Youth Rugby to have both Varsity sides included.  Hear tell, my old mate Spike McTavish is turning in the keys to the gym. This was due reward. What great service you have given man - 'onya, Spider!

We further thank the various Referee's Societies, for without the women and men in the middle we would have no rugby and to all the volunteers and coaches across the Province for their roles.
