B.C. Finals

There will be a good crowd and considerable interest at Klahanie Park and Brockton Oval tomorrow afternoon. A huge day for Burnaby in the three ‘BIGS’ – Men’s (at both grade levels) and Women’s Finals and for UBC and Seattle in both the Springs League Divisions Finals. CW congratulates all finalists and wishes good rugby for all. May the best teams win.

We imagine there will be much “goss” re the Birds Vs Seattle/OPSB Div. 1 Final. They seem to be much hyped about affairs south of the border and we include this link "Seattle-OPSB Aiming For BC Premier League Promotion". to offer a U.S. perspective although the facts are rather distorted and incorrect, not to mention the gross disservice to The Loma…friends, it is         M-E-R-A-L-O-M-A-S!  The Seattle lineup for the Springs Brewery Div 1 Final tomorrow, includes no less than four starters and two benchers who have either played Eagles XV's, VII's or attended Eagles camps, not to mention, the two reported Fijian players who have played National VII's.  Should Seattle win this match and promotion is the likely outcome, there will be much discussion at the boardroom table!

B.C.H.S. Playdowns. AAA and AA schools have kicked off the race to the top in Boys Rugby. On the Island we have Oak Bay Vs Stelleys and Claremont Vs Spectrum taking place today. The winners will meet at SMUS on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Good luck to all teams. Oak Bay is ranked #3 in AAA and SMUS are ranked #3 in AA Divisions.

The Rounsefell Cup between JBAA and BLRFC will be down-streamed from 4:00 p.m. at; www.bcrugby.com
