A FEW FACTS ABOUT CW

With our Annual Fundraiser Dinner rapidly approaching, it is fitting to share a few of the facts that funds raised, help support. CW has 110 senior players registered; 132 boys and girls youth players and 111 mini rugby players. The senior players play in five Divisions of B.C. rugby, with “graduates” from our club playing with the Pacific Pride (National men’s Academy program); Canada Mens and Womens XV’s and VII’s teams and the MLR (North American Professional Rugby League).


Our youth programs were active until December. Our age grade programs are considered to be amongst the leading programs in the Province and this past season our Girls U19 team won the Provincial Championship and our U19 Boys were Runners-Up. Minis play on Sunday mornings from September until May. Youngsters learn the rugby basics of team work and cooperation with safety being paramount. The fundamental skills are tutored by an excellent coaching team in a positive and encouraging environment where the boys and girls begin to love the sport.


With due consideration to these facts, it is important that our February 29th event be a sellout. Individual tickets are $150 and tickets for two are $280, a table for ten can be purchased for $1,350. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

Apart from the evening being a great social event, we will also have some excellent auction items available. Should you be unable to attend, a proxy bid can be made. Over the next few weeks we will be tempting you with items on this site. We kick off this year's event with today’s cherry, with the generosity of Rick Bourne of Langara Lodge.
