Brian originally from Boston Massachusetts, moved with his family to Seattle at the age of 10. Brian met his Canadian wife (Tish) at a sailing regatta in the Washington State in 1994 and they lived in Seattle until a move to Victoria in 2005. For Tish it was a return to Victoria, for Brian it was a new experience all together.
Brian and Tish were introduced to rugby through their daughter Chloe (2002) when she signed up for CW after watching the Americas Rugby Championships in Langford. Chloe was 11 at the time and since then, Brian and Tish have been actively learning about the sport while becoming immersed in women’s rugby through their support of Chloe in her rugby exploits at CW, South Island Tide, and BC Provincial Teams.
Although not a rugby player, Brian played soccer and ice hockey as a youngster. More recently and as part of his professional life, Brian is a competitive sailor with top finishes in multiple international events, to his credit. When not on the side of a rugby pitch Brian and family, can often be found cruising the Gulf Islands on their family sailboat. Brian works as a yacht broker with Fraser Yacht Sales in Sidney.
