Chris May

Assistant Coach - Senior Men Premiers

Mayzer started playing rugby in grade five, moving through age grade rugby at the old Castaways and H.S. rugby at the hotbed of SMUS, even playing a game of Second Div. (in those days), in grade ten! Chris then attended U.Vic and played some rugby with OBC when the "amalgamation" occured, yonks ago.  The pinnacle of his playing career occured when played for the CCSD/Pacific Pride Development team.  He played Rep rugby for the Crimson Tide and B.C., U17 - U21 and Senior, as well played for Canada U17, U19 and Canada U23.  Most unfortunately, this promising rugby career was cut short due to injury.  Fortunately for CW he did not lose his interest in the game and if anything, it intensified.

Chris coached the Crimson Tide U18 team, co-coached with Tom Browne when CW won a B.C. Senior Men's Premiership, (2000), assisted at BLRFC and B.C. U21, as well as asssitant with the Vancouver RFU Wave. CW is now the lucky recipient of this man's experience and he has been involved for the past 8/9 years one way or t'other. Chris brings his true love of the game, his professional knowledge and skill as a physiotherapist and his verve as a good human being to the CW fold and we are thankful to have him on board.
