Where In The World Is Waldo?

This time five years ago Rowers made their last appearance at Windsor, against the likes of O'Toole & Sinclair.  We know Sinclair has since earned a Currie Cup ring and successfullty plies his trade with London irish.  O'Toole had a brief stint with the Ospreys and since has worn Canadian colors but has been dormant during late summer and the fall. ....and so it goes!
Two weeks ago at Stanley Park, the Rowers' pack - a big, mongrel-like group, demonstrated that reputations did not phase them and it was only on the last play of the game that The Maestro stroked the winning trey.  Last week, both teams won their respective matches.  Rowers, one-sidedly over The Loma and Ceedub, a solid win over second place James Bay.  We can expect more of the same effort from both clubs this Saturday.
Nothing in this League is a surprise anymore, with coaches having U-Tube access to their opposition's games, B.C. League supporting American Eagle players, players appearing from all over the globe, etc., etc., etc. It is the best prepared group who play to their potential on the day that wins the contest.  To this end, the Rowers back their FRF, a group of youngsters, U20's Forrest and Chawhan and hooker, Seyler who is in good form and who will pit their game against a similar group.  CW will front Braddock, Ilnicki and the young Montreal-er, Chapman on debut, gaining his spot on a Tiedemann injury.  The game will be won on the ascendancy of the packs.  CW retains six of last week's eight and Buydens earns the captaincy.
There is not much to scout on the Rowers' backs, although James is returning from the U.K. and represents an unknown and based on points scored, they are an explosive group.  For the Home team, they field an identical selection to last week, an almost unknown "luxury" over the past three seasons.  Plaudits to Hearn for fronting again.  This group was good value last week, so even more could be expected with that run under their belts.
Regardless, this one should be a "corker" with nothing taken for granted and exceptionally, good viewing.  Ruggernut's tip - Keep your eye on #15, Kiwi Northcott (if you can), he has got game!

CW First Divvies will be keen to show that a good effort last week, arguably deserving a "W", was no fluke.  It is great to see stalwart, Sipili Molia, appearing at #10 and the boys will also be keen to inflict a consecutive victory over one of the current semi-finalists.  We wish Captain Chips and the crew, all the best.  This too, has the makings of an enjoyable match.  Make it a CW Tripleheader - Ones, Prems and Dinner!  Remember.......it's a Dinner of Surprises this year.  Sunny Saturday, see you at The Park.   The Ruggernut.
