Miracles On Ice???

This past  weekend was a bye for the boys before the final push toward the playoffs. Saturday took many of the players off the pitch on onto the ice for some shinny. Oak Bay Recreation Centre was the scene of some quaility skills displayed off the pitch.

Scotty Franklin proved he was a genuine hockey player – the legs may be giving out somewhat but the hands are still there. Kehoe was equally the star on the ice as he is on the pitch and showed a Bobby Orr like stride that kept the defenders on their back heel. Our trainer extrordinaire, Amanda Mackenzie, was a force to be reckoned, with a combination of smooth skating and tough defence.

Highlight of the game goes to the one and only Kenny Goodland! His work ethic never in question but his legs left much to be desired……….apparently nobody mentioned to Kenny that you don’t score in hockey by crashing face first past the goal line – it’s not a try Kenny!!! Goalies across Victoria beware.
