SACRIFICE
“They went with songs to battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”

CW’s Div 1 Men travel to Nanaimo to face the 3 – 1 Hornets. The Tricolors record is 1 – 3, however, given their recent first victory, they travel with hope in their hearts. The pack features a solid FRF and includes Connor McKenzie in the engine room. Connor has given some quality Premier minutes recently, off the pines and Jack Wallace returns from injury to join Loosies, Goss and Dring. Apart from Keegan Hall, leading the side from #9, this pundit knows little about the backs. Coach Ken will be advising the boys. Go, Divvies.
Premier player, John Humphries is on show today for the Canadian Classics when they take on the Springboks in the Final of this ‘Golden Oldies’ Tournament. This will be a tough task in Canada’s first-ever appearance in the Final of this tournament, held annually in Bermuda. We know Humphs is up to it and will not shirk. Good luck John.
Meanwhile, commencing at 1:00 p.m. there will be a four-team Third Div. Tournament hosted by the Ebb Tide, at the House of Windsor for those just wanting to watch rugby. If not taking this in, get ready for a big day next Saturday when CW takes on James Bay in four men’s and women’s games.
