Matt was forced to leave his home town of William's Lake during the Great Mullet Purge of 2002, and the Castaway Wanderers were very happy to have both him and his mullet at the club. Matt quickly earned the starting half back spot on the Premier side and was instrumental in helping the squad win its third Championship. Matt left CW to play for the Pride and was a stand out there as well. But as well as Matt played, there were always those that said he was too small to play for Canada.

For the record these were the same people who said he was too ugly to get a date. Fortunately his tremendous talent overcame his size problem and beer helped with the ladies. Last year Matt won his first of many caps for Canada. There are a few nagging questions about Mr. Weingart however. How could he get a hernia when he has never ever lifted anything heavier than 12 ounces, why would he go back to a mullet, what poor little girl did he steal his bike from and why is he called Pichot? The only question that can easily be answered is the nick name. Some say it is because his long greasy hair looks like that of the Argentinean star while others say it is because Roger felt his pass looked like a pichot s**t. Everyone at CW is excited to have Pichot playing for us this season and we hope he doesn’t turn his love of binge drinking and trash talking into another concussion.
