Jake Osborne

Jake “the Rake” will be returning the CW this year after three successful years with the Pacific Pride. The last time that Jake played for CW they won the BC Championship so we all hope he can bring the magic back with him. Jake is neither tough nor clever so he relies on his blinding speed to be successful in rugby. His speed has helped him become a part of Canada’s sevens program over the last couple of years. It has been said that Jake has a nose for the try line, which is a good thing because he will rarely pass. Jake’s preferred position is full back but he can play wing and outside center as well.

Jake is the type of person who craves attention and because his game is usually underwelming he relies on gimmicks like mullets, mohawks, silver shoes and profanity laced banter to be noticed. Jake likes to keep his life away from rugby simple so he rarely strays from his routine of Darcy’s at nine, sick by twelve, breakfast at the Spicers’ at eleven. A true North Island boy, Jake will drink nothing but Lucky Lager, a product that he was fed from an early age. Despite all the articles about the horrible effects of infant binge drinking, Jake is doing just fine, he may stutter and wet himself on occasion but he can still play rugby at a very high level. Everyone is very glad to see Jake back and we also hope to see him playing for Canada soon!
