David Jawl

Mowgli, yet another product from the CW junior program, is off to a tremendous start this year. Of the three premier games played so far this year, David has started one and seen action in the other two. David is a feisty scrum half whose darting runs from the base leave the opposition asking questions. Questions such as “who coached this kid?” and “who does he remind me of?” . The answer to both of course is Chris Bacon. Despite his tiny stature, young David has the heart of a lion and a head like a squash and the numerous concussions to prove it.

Long known as the lovable side kick of Mike Pyke, David has been forced to go it alone as Mike has moved to Europe and left Dave with no forwarding address. The lads of CW have done everything in their power to help David during his lonely times. Ryan Blackburn, a more veteran player, has even taken to showering David. Not with praise but with something much more personal. Although David has not won a Premier League championship with the club he does have plenty of other CW hardware. He is a two time CW BC Junior champion and a one time winner of the CW golf invitational.
