Castaway Wanderers RFC is pleased to announce its annual fund and fun raising event February 16th 7pm at the Penny Farthing Pub, Victoria.  Please mark your calendars now!

$125 per ticket includes all your food, drink, gratuity, fabulous door prizes and a ticket in the draw to win a trip for 2 to Ireland, airfare and hotel included.

For a second year Mr. Matt MacNeil, owner of the Penny Farthing Pub and long time CW supporter, will host us all for a night of celebration and fund raising…….providing food and drink for the event.

All $125 goes to  rugby operations.  This is a big contribution to the program supporting minis, juniors and men's' teams with a special CW budget contribution necessary this year toward our CW 2008 Youth Tour to Britain. 

A special change this year is your dinner ticket and any additional $20 tickets you purchase  (in all only 600 tickets available) will make you eligible for the ''Dublin Double'' Draw which is a trip for two to Dublin Ireland, first class air with 9 nights hotel.  Take this trip in March to be in Dublin for St. Patrick's week celebrations or book it some other time in 2008.  Yes, a limited number of tickets will be available for this exciting trip.  We'll draw the winner during the Feb 16th event. Your odds of winning are fantastic!

The evening will also involve several wonderful silent  as well as ''larger'' live auction items such as local golf packages and overnights; fishing trip to Langara Fishing Adventures; spa package; hockey package with Heli Jet and  Vancouver accommodation; beautiful art work and more.  Because the auction will conclude early in the evening and in the past has proven to be a highlight of the evening, we will be sending out auction item information well in advance of February 16th.

If this all sounds too good to be true, pick up a ticket and come with your friends to become part of this wonderful CW event.  If the date is already booked in your social calendar, support the Club by purchasing a dinner ticket or two and tell us to sponsor a player.  We'll be glad to do that and you'll be making a great contribution to Club funds/fun.  Sponsor a player!

Mark your calendars, Feb 16th at the Penny Farthing in Oak Bay.  Note also on that day CW teams have home games vs UBC Old Boy Ravens....1pm and 2:45 ko at Windsor Park.
