CW U14's END SEASON AT VIRU FINAL
![]() A marvellous U14 season came to an end last Sunday in Cowichan when our boys succumbed to a rather large and stronger Cowichan combination. CW congratulates Cowichan on their win and wishes them good luck in the Provincial Final. This was the first year anyone present could remember, when such a competition and Final was held.
Our boys lost to the same Cowichan side by about nine tries just two weeks back, so it was quite the upset when we led 7 - 5 at the half, with a great team try finished by 'Jacko' Allabarton and converted by Mac Catto. This scoreline was not to be and Cowichan cleverly played to their strengths of rolling mauls and some power running from a few of the boys to go away at the end by a score of 36 - 7.
CW now goes on the road! Coaches Tate and Catto and Manager Allabarton are taking the boys, along with some parents, to put our toes in the water against UK opposition in late June and July. We wish the boys good luck and we are confident that they will be great ambassadors of CW.
