Recruitment:

  • Club rugby has been a part of the Victoria sports scene for over 100 years.
  • During that time, a great tradition of competition and camaraderie has developed with the Castaway Wanderers always having a significant role.
  • We field a team in the Elite Premiere League competition, and, as a first fifteen player, you will be competing against the very best teams and players in North America on a weekly basis. You will also have the potential to be selected for the Vancouver Island team in the Rugby Canada Super League competition.
  • We also field a team in the Vancouver Island Rugby UnionFirst Division competition, a team in the BCRU U21 League and a Junior (U-19) team.
  • Players from across Canada, throughout the USA, and around the world are welcome at our club. Many have come, contributed, and socialized. We welcome anyone with a rugby background.
