Wednesday's Ruck & Maul

RUGBY CANADA Vs HOST NATION IN RWC SEMI-FINAL.

RC Women take on France in Paris this morning, with an expected crowd of 20,000 in attendance…….98% French Fanatics! Our Women went 1 - 1 on their Fall Tour to France, so expectations can be high, following their very successful campaign to date. We take this opportunity to wish them well and encourage you to offer your vibes via viewing of the match this morning at 11:45 a.m. on TSN. Go, Canada, go!  If you missed the effort Vs England.........here's the highlights;

LIMERICK “WORLD CUP CLUB 7’s”

Little information available about a rather solid achievement by a group that could be labelled “Maple Leaf Sevens”, a developmental crew with some experienced campaigners who played in this event in Limerick, Ireland last weekend. The boys defeated NSW Waratahs, Stade Francais, Blue Bulls from South Africa and Western Province, a significant collection of scalps. No doubt these “labelled” teams were far from full strength but there has always been scuttlebutt about Canada being unable to defeat third and fourth stringers from established rugby countries so this certainly refutes that noise. The boys lost to a Fijian team in the Final, Daveta by a score of 36 – 12. Just where the PR on this event goes, along with the future of same, remains to be seen however, this is the second year. It is obviously a relative low profile gig at home but CW congratulates the following silver medallists;  Justin Douglas; Admir Cejanovic; Mike Fuailefau; Lucas Hammond; Pat Kay; Pat Parfrey;  Theo Sauder;  Jack Smith;  Sean White;  Jordan Wilson-Ross; Adam Zaruba.
