UBC @ House of Windsor

James Carson (last season U18 captain), returns "home" on Saturday.

It is a resurgent UBC program that visits Windsor tomorrow, the first game here against these two clubs in many a moon.  UBC has been promoted to the CDI Premiership League and a good thing in the eyes of this pundit whose belief is; that strong University rugby programs in this Province make for strong rugby.

The main game features many "unknowns" in the varsity side, although we note three "imports" starting and Sandover-Best, a good young 'un, sitting on the pines. Carson returns as lock in the First Divvy encounter. For the locals there are three changes in the side from last week.  Riley Ilnicki returns for an injured Kehoe, Jordan Henderson is back for an injured Morris and Stephan Moser for a missing Armstrong.  These replacements should not weaken the side in any major capacity...in fact, Henderson has something to prove, as his last time out, he was rather unjustly shown an early shower.

Tough to make predictions, again, but I did like what I saw last Saturday and if the same intensity and commitment comes to the table with as few errors, the Home team should give The Birds plenty.  I base this on the "ifs". We need to see back to back performances and if the skipper keeps his young crew on the job, we will see just that.  I would like to think, CW will squeak by by a couple. Go, you good things!     (The Ruggernut)
