U14's Open The Season

CW hosted Shawnigan Lake School U14's yesterday at The Park.  The session was "developmental" in substance.  All the boys worked in skills stations before partaking in a "friendly" scrimmage.  This was a good opportunity for some of the "new" U14's (12 yr olds) to try their skills on the "big" field.  They did not disappoint.  Both teams showed examples of good attacking rugby, retaining possession and position.

Managers and Coaches thank all the parents who were involved with post-game hosting in the "CW style".  The players had a lot of fun and were enthusiastic about the morning's activity.  On to BIGGER and even better things, Go, Ceedub!

U16 REPORTThe U16's participated in the VIRU 7's Opener, held at Shawnigan Lake School.  CW entered two teams, with the "Blues" nudging out Velox in the Final.  The "Reds" also had strong matches against both Velox and the Blues.  Evidently the weather was rather inclement in Shawnigan and coaches report that all boys had a great morning, showing good skills under difficult conditions.....a dip of the coach's lid to Brayden T., John M., Jai P., Carter W., Sam B., and Gavin K.  The boys are looking forward to their season opener next weekend against the Velox.
