Cudmore Duly Honored

This pundit likes the looks of the squad selected to do battle against Glasgow Warriors tomorrow.  It is the first time the coach has had an opportunity to look at some possible combinations for upcoming RWC matches. Highlights are DTH playing against his "old" club; Cudmore deservedly as Captain; DJ Sears, Piffero, Thorpe and Gilmour getting starting nods to see what they can do.  I like the Mack- Hirayama combo as the halves, giving Philly more time at the fifteens game where the reaction/ thought process is considerably different to sevens. Connor Braid deserves his start in the centres alongside of Hearn who will be playing his first game of his 43 tests in Canadian colours, on the east coast.  Evans and Hassler round out the back three. The bench is money.  This will be the real deal, all of the past is just that and we relish the posssibilities of this game. The match can be viewed, 11:00a.m. PST at; www.rugbycanada.ca

This site brings you this video of "CW" stalwart, Ciaran Hearn who will be playing as a Nat for the first time back east,  in his long and storied career.  We at CW, love Ciaran, remembering him fondly for his "flying tally" some four seasons back against the Loma!  He has grown his game to be a worthy International at both fifteens and sevens.  Good luck to all tomorrow and 'onya, Ciaran.

FOOTNOTE:  CW farewell to Jake Ilnicki, going back to NSW Country Cockatoos, still making a buck from the game he loves.  Best of luck, Jake.
