CW VISITS VARSITY

Tomorrow’s CDI Premiership encounter sees The Tricolors back at Wallace Field with The Ones kicking off at 1:00 and Premiership action at 2:30 p.m. Word from the training pitch is encouraging, as numbers are picking up and competition for selection is becoming more intense. The Vikes laid quite a late game drubbing on CW in Barnard Cup action a couple of weeks past and then the following week the boys came out and beat James Bay. In the last encounter, CW simply ran out of steam and the UVic backs had a field day. There are changes from that squad with Armstrong earning the start at scrum half, a re-jig of the pack, led by Braddock, with Bishop moving to lock and the feisty Oliver on the side. A newbie from Alberta, Adam Bontus comes into the centers with Henderson and Fat Johnny is back at the custodian`s spot. This time round, the bench looks much stronger with Scotty `The Bus` Franklin, Mikey Fuli, Daumer and Riley Mac ready to slot in and add energy. A trek to Wallace to watch the boys will be worth your time this week. Go, Ceedub.

ADDENDUM:  CW U18 Vs Bayside RFC @ Windsor - TOMORROW, 12:45. A moment of silence will be taken to respect Chantal MacLean and Cody Kehlar, young players connected with Bayside who tragically lost their lives in a recent traffic accidfent. May they rest in peace.
